I am pissed at them and I guess after all this crap that's been generated with uFail teaming up with UBI or vice-versa has gotten to a boiling point. Man.I can go on and on but for now I feel that much better. However, I will apologize to EVGA and/or the admins here in the community. I would apologize for my rant but I'm not going to because I feel that strongly about UBI's dumbasses. I recall back in the FC-2 days there were so many problems with that title that there was a thread that lasted nearly 2 years AFTER the game was released. Their total disrespect to the customer is appalling. As it has been mentioned UBI sucks with support and IMO it's rather in the "all-around class"! They need a good ass-kickin. Let me reiterate, it's NOT YOUR FAULT EVGA and we as your customer appreciate(s) everything that you give back to us, but if I had any say? I would never deal with UBI or have anything to do with them. Not to mention they (EVGA) take care of their customers, but.with all due respect EVGA, you created a lot of issues (RE: UBI) that is uncalled for (by UBI). And I will never, ever purchase another game that is even remotely tied to UBI and uFail in the future I am, and if I may be so bold to say that others as well, are honored that EVGA sent me, and others, copies of Black flag and SC-BL and I am enjoying the games immensely. If it weren't for the late-n-great Tom Clancy I would've never, ever purchased their titles in the past.
The uBI's website, and even in steam is bombarded with gamers complaining about this and many, many other problems with their games.

What's with all the redundancy's!? Gamers purchases the game via steam (like 007vsMagua) then we have to install another client to play the game!? I just proves that UBI keeps dropping the ball continuously!! I don't care whether it's UBI or uFail or whoever.but the point is that the people who are responsible for this complete debacle should be treated just like Jesus did in the movie "The Passion of Christ". Rant ahead I see another good chance for me to make my point about uFail.

That's the problem, nobody seems to have all the details with clear instructions on how to solve the problem. And supposedly adding something like "-uplay_steam_mode" only it was more than that, to the short-cut somehow, the directions were not clear, but no luck there also. file and creating a shortcut for the FC3.exe file.
I did find a post that mentioned going into the steam/ /common/etc. I tried adding "-uplay_steam_mode" to the launch option but no luck. I used a fix simalar to this to fix mine but don't remember all the details unfortunately. Try right clicking far cry 3 in steam, click on properties, click on set launch options, and add that in and click ok, then try to launch far cry 3 through steam and enter your key into uplay. edit: I can't find the link anymore, but it has something to do with the "-uplay_steam_mode" command line option. _Nite_ I had this same exact issue when I acctivated far cry 3 on my steam account too, thier is a link somewhere with a work around on how to fix it let me see if I can find it. Yeah, it seems like some type of double redundancy for which I have no answer. I'm sure this will get figured out eventually, and I've spent a good deal of time on it so far, but it's kind of like a detective adventure. Hopefully Ubi will learn from the GFW mess and remove their own layer of DRM from games. Games that have this many layers of DRM on top of the Steam DRM aren't really worth trying to install or run. Killmur And this is why I avoid ANY Ubi game when looking at games at Amazon Digital or GameFly Digital. I did see a loophole for Third-Party Steam Support, as concerning Key activation, so I'll give that a shot. Third-Party Support posts links to the third-party vendors. I was looking at Steam Support and they have Valve Game Support and Third-Party Support. Thanks to srtie4K I was able to recheck my Key# and I did write it down correctly. , but definitely try to get help from Steam first since you bought it through them and try what srtie4K suggested.
